GEOSCIENCES AND RESERVOIR ENGINEERING GROUP


GEOLOGIST

General Functions

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements geological and allied investigations relevant to the exploration, development and resource management of the country’s geothermal resources in order to ensure accurate assessment and efficient utilization of the geothermal and other earth resources.

Qualifications

BS Geology; Licensed Geologist

Location

Ortigas (Head-Office), but will be assigned most of the time in Leyte, Sorsogon, Kidapawan, and Dumaguete

GEOPHYSICIST

General Functions

Conducts and supervises all field geophysical surveys including but not limited to electrical, electromagnetic, gravimetric, seismic, geodetic and hazard studies;

Evaluates and interprets the results of geophysical surveys and geophysical information in project/production areas;

Assists other geoscientists in the selection of drilling targets/pads, preparation of resource assessment and formulation of reservoir management strategies.

Qualifications

BS Geology, BS Applied Physics, BS Physics; Licensed Geologist;

Preferably with knowledge and background in Seismology;

Graduates with good scholastic achievements and belonging to the top 10% of the graduating class.

GEOCHEMIST

General Functions

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements all geochemical investigations during exploration, development and exploitation of geothermal and other resources, to ensure accurate assessment of prospect areas and efficient utilization of the geothermal resource. The geochemist

Promotes and improves geochemical techniques in geothermal exploration, development and resource management.

GEOSCIENTIST

General Functions

Designs, implements, and maintains information systems (e.g. Geographic Information System) within the division and department. Creates, maintains, and updates data and information dashboard; Conducts research and development projects that address present and future problems and issues in production fields; Evaluates performance of the resource and recommends appropriate actions that will help sustain production.

Qualifications

PROCESS GEOCHEMIST

General Functions

Conducts geoscientific evaluation of geothermal prospects; Conducts advanced exploration and/or development studies and activities in geothermal prospects, aimed at verifying the exploration hydrologic model of a geothermal prospect and/or steam field development for power generation; Updates management on the status of all geochemical activities in all geothermal areas undergoing exploration, development and exploration;

Qualifications

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GROUP

IT COMMUNICATIONS & NETWORKING TECHNOLOGY LEADER

General Functions

Responsible for leading, governing and providing technical guidance and standards for communications & networking technologies (voice, data, video, etc.) and all associated governance controls.

Coordinating activities and tasks associated with running a highly reliable network which is very critical to achieve quarterly and yearly business goals.

Responsible for recommending, analysing, testing, and maintaining software and hardware as required for the company

Qualifications

BS Electronics & Communications Engineering (or equivalent course).

Possession of current professional license, board exam and/or IT certification(s) a plus. At least 5 to 7 years experience in a LAN / WAN environment managing IT projects and operations.

Experience with enterprise level monitoring products. Operating Systems – Windows Server, clustering, Network load balancing, Terminal Server Management, Microsoft Office Communications Server, Instant Messaging.

ERP Systems knowledge is a plus.

ACCOUNTANTS

General Functions

Payables:

Ascertain validity and accuracy of claims by suppliers and contractors prior to settlement; ensure that liabilities are recognized; ensure that all payments transactions handled by the Section are duly recorded in the books.

Fixed Asset Accountant:

Implements, maintains and monitors common accounting and financial processes and documentation for the company’s land, plant, property, and equipment including surplus assets and ensures that existing Company policies and procedures are implemented to safeguard the Company’s assets and resources. Ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with the latest accounting standards.

Inventory Accountant:

Implements, maintains and monitors common accounting and financial processes and documentation for the company’s materials and supplies inventories including surplus inventories and ensures that existing Company policies and procedures are implemented to safeguard the Company’s assets and resources. Ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with the latest accounting standards.

Tax Assistant:

Provide technical assistance to the Tax-Finance segment to attain efficient improvements in tax processes to ensure 100% tax compliance and/or reduction of tax cost.

Qualifications

BS in Accountancy and a CPA

With at least 2 years of experience in the respective functions

Experience with SAP system is a plus.

BUDGET ANALYST

General Functions

Develop, monitor and update performance indices, metrics and unitized costs of identified cost drivers related to: drilling and workover activities; maintenance of drilling rigs, pipelines, power plants, equipment and other facilities; civil works activities – road construction and maintenance, pad development, stabilization works; and corporate activities, among others;

Establish, monitor and update compliance to standards for procedures, practices and activities related to budget and cost control, standard equipment complement and best industry practices with the end view of optimizing company resources. Internal customers: EDC Board of Directors, Operations and Management Committees, All EDC Sectors and Subsidiaries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a graduate of Industrial or Civil Engineering

Experience in budgeting and planning preferred but not necessary

Graduates with good scholastic achievements. Should be detail-oriented and has good communication and presentation skills

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION GROUP

DESIGN ASSISTANT

General Functions

Translates design concepts into working drawings for EDC geothermal FCRS and Power Plant and other drawings through application of computer-aided design technology

Ensures that all works shall be in conformance with standard detailing procedures in developing accurate and complete engineering, architectural, bid, fabrication and construction drawings

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a graduate of Architecture

Proficient in Autocad software and basic drafting

One (1) year experience in engineering and drafting technology

Willing to travel and be temporarily assigned at project sites

LEYTE GEOTHERMAL BUSINESS UNIT


RELIABILITY ENGINEER

General Functions

Lead the implementation of the business unit’s reliability programs and initiatives for continuous performance improvement of the business unit.

Performs and facilitates Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Defect Elimination and Failure Investigations, classify and ranks reliability and integrity incidents to assure focus on what matter most to optimize equipment useful life and optimize cost.

Qualifications

Licensed Engineer, B.S. Mechanical or Electrical  Engineer or other Engineering Degree

Location

Kananga, Leyte

PROTECTION SYSTEMS ENGINEER

General Functions

Plans and leads the maintenance activities of the Control and Safeguarding systems in SFO project sites ensuring that it does not interfere with safe operations of the facilities.

Perform and records testing of Instrumented Protective Functions (IPF) ensuring its functionality to protect plant equipment.

Qualifications

Licensed Engineer, B.S. Mechanical or Electrical Professional Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

Student Trainees/On-the-job Training:

Limited slots are also available at the One Corporate Center, Ortigas Center head office and all project sites for college-level students belonging to the top 10% of the class who need OJT hours as part of their academic requirements.
