Drilling
After drilling to depths that reach up to 3,000 meters, our drilling teams lay down the foundations needed to extract geothermal steam safely and cost-effectively from beneath the earth’s surface.
In its 32 years of existence, EDC has used its own drilling rigs to drill over 913 wells for various purposes.
Our drilling complement is fully backed by 7 rigs modernized with a brand new rig with 1500 HP.

- EDC has placed an order for a new National Oilwell Varco (NOV) 1,500hp AC Drive rig that will be delivered in the last quarter of 2009.
