Quality education delivers an exponential benefit of unimaginable returns. This is the rationale behind  EDC’s partnership for education, which aims to equip and enlighten young minds so they may become capable, productive and empowered citizens of the community the nation and the world.

With the focus on teachers, students and a more conducive school environment, programs are specifically designed to enhance the capability of schools and teachers to provide quality basic education.

Partnerships for Education Projects:

• The yearly Energy Camp, the company’s customized summer camp, which helps inculcate in the community’s youth the awareness of their social and environmental responsibility while providing them with the ultimate summer fun. The program has been gaining commendable results since it started in 2004, proof of which is the Anvil Award of Merit and the Gold Quill Award of Merit that it bagged in 2005.
• The “Leyte Schools for Excellence,” which presents a broad and long-term partnership aimed at putting up a model school which delivers quality basic education int he upland community.
• The “Balik-Galing” concept which is hinged ont he vision of “mentoring future mentors.” It takes off from EDC’s Balik-Biyaya Community Partnerships philosophy of perpetuating a cycle of welfare and wealth. The Balik-Galing received the coveted Anvil Award of Excellence from the Philippine Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) and the Gold Quill Award of Merit from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)
