EDC scores five out of five in this year’s Anvil Awards

EDC scores five out of five in this year’s Anvil Awards. Geothermal leader Energy Development Corporation (EDC) bagged Anvil awards for all its five entries in the recently concluded 47th Anvil Awards.  EDC won two Anvil Awards of Excellence under the PR Programs category for its Kananga-EDC Institute of Technology (KEITECH), a world-class technical-vocational school established by EDC in Leyte which is the site of its biggest geothermal project and BINHI, a landmark reforestation project that aims to bring back in abundance premium native species.  BINHI and KEITECH were both cited by ANVIL Awards judge, former Isabela Governor Grace Padaca, in her keynote address.  Under the PR tools category, EDC won two Anvil Awards of Excellence for its Integrated Annual and Sustainability Report entitled “Values @ Work” and for its 2011 wall and desk calendar entitled “Our Pride, Our Heritage.” EDC’s Sustainability Program, meanwhile, received an Anvil Award of Merit.  These entries were chosen for their outstanding execution and tremendous benefits to their intended beneficiaries.  Receiving the awards are EDC’s Environment and External Relations Sector led by Senior Vice President Agnes C. de Jesus (fourth from right).  The other members of the team are (from left to right)  Nino Gibe, Tracy Peralta, Reinero Medrano, Marsha Alvarado, Cara Funk, Dave Devilles, Meianne Tejada, Frances Ariola, Toni Nieva and Ivy Henson.
