Mt. Apo Foundation Inc. launches revitalized website

Kidapawan, December 17, 2021 – Mt. Apo Foundation, Incorporation’s (MAFI) has recently launched its upgraded website, bearing its new logo, brand statement, messaging, tone, color, and brand assets.

These information assets of MAFI were done in partnership with Works of Heart Creatives, Inc.

In the virtual launch event, geothermal leader Energy Development Corporation’s (EDC) Head of CSR-PR and MAFI Chairman Allan Barcena emphasized the importance of a strengthened online community as a means to pivot in the current COVID-19 climate.

“We’re glad that MAFI is keeping up with the times, and it’s very timely that we have our new website. This will be MAFI’s digital face to the whole world, not just to the country,” he said.

MAFI receives support from EDC through the operations of its Mt. Apo geothermal facilities located in Kidapawan, North Cotabato.

With the tagline “Empowered Communities, Sustainable Futures,” MAFI’s commitment has been translated into three programs, namely, Educational Development, Community and Environment, and Cultural Heritage.

Nancy Ibuna, CSR Head of Energy Development Corporation, also extended her congratulations to the foundation for accomplishing its website revamp that took months in the making.

“I am privy to the hard work that the team has dedicated. Rest assured, Team MAFI, that EDC will always be here to support you. Suffice it to say that MAFIEDC partnership has definitely withstood the test of time and has accomplished a lot of breakthroughs in promoting sustainable development for its stakeholders within Mount Apo, especially for the indigenous peoples,” she shared.

Since 1993, MAFI has established and nurtured relationships with the 33 barangays in the Mt. Apo Natural Park. Through the years, it produced over 320 college graduates, around 9,400 IP members finishing adult literacy programs, 13 hectares of reforested areas, and a number of partners.

Now that their revitalized website is ready online, they look forward to an enhanced navigation experience including more engagement from partners here and abroad. This will hopefully create a shared vision for new partnership building and generate support from potential benefactors, according to MAFI Executive Director Armando Pacudan.

The event was capped off with a special Christmas carol from the MAFI Management and Staff that was specially dedicated to its participants, stakeholders, and partners, old and new alike.
